Hi, I’m Hunter Croushorn
Sr. Maintenance Technician, Hunter Croushorn, is a very enthusiastic guy. His biggest enthusiasm—and favorite person—is his second grader, Tinsley. They share a passion for ice cream, and he says she’s his little Mini-Me. His roommate Sophie is (probably) a Papillon-poodle mix. The poodle part is a guess, but whatever she is, Sophie is a cuddler of friends, family, and strangers alike.
Though he has spent most of his life in Omaha, Hunter lived in Denver for a while in middle school. He also spent his sophomore year in Arizona. “It kind of ruined me a little bit because, born and raised here, I didn't ever hate the cold, but it wasn’t my favorite.” When he returned to Omaha, he was greeted by “the worst winter I'd ever seen.” But he’s still here, so Arizona didn’t weaken him, just spoiled him a little.
When he's not working or dadding, Hunter likes to play video games like League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Rocket League (“a vehicular soccer video game,” according to Wikipedia.) But what Hunter really loves is movies. At one point, he had amassed a collection of over 100 ticket stubs, but they disappeared as things do in one of his moves. Now, of course, it's all about the Netflix. “Being a dad, I watch a lot of Disney, of course. But I love horror movies, too.” His favorite movies from childhood are Forrest Gump and Toy Story. As for favorite TV shows, he likes both Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty. So, a lot of contrast. “I do watch some anime, though I'm not super into it like some people. But Attack on Titan is a good one.”
So far, you might be getting the impression that Hunter is a couch potato. But far from it. He did track and field in college and qualified for the national championships as a thrower. And in an effort to keep active in adulthood, he has been running for the last six months. “Trying to stay ahead of the curve on the dad bod.” He recently inherited a nice grill and is about to start his journey to becoming a grillmaster, but he’d better hurry. No matter how hot it is outside right now, winter is coming.
