Hi, I’m Mike Nichols
Bluestone’s newest Maintenance Tech Mike Nichols was born and raised on a farm in Oakland, Nebraska. He has two sons, aged 11 and almost 17, and a four-year-old Shih Tzu named Frank.
A certified mechanic, Mike describes himself as, “A jack of all trades, master of none.” He enjoys working on his friends' vehicles in his spare time, as well as camping, hunting, and fishing. “Lake fishing, deep sea fishing… I want to get back to Thailand. That's some good fishing.” So we might as well add travel to that list of things he likes to do in his spare time. Mike spent ten years in the Marines, which probably led to at least some of the 26 countries and 49 states he has visited. And he’s not done traveling, either.
While at home, Mike enjoys spending time in the man cave to end all man caves. He's installed two refrigerators, one kegerator, and five TVs, each usually running a different football game. Yes, Mike likes football, and about his favorite team he says, “I've liked the Patriots since long before they were good.”
This summer, Mike wants to thin out some of his bigger possessions. He plans to sell his two trucks, a 3/4 ton pickup and a half-ton pickup, and upgrade to a new pickup that would still be able to pull his camper or one of his two bumper pull trailers. “I just want one truck that can do everything.” Who knows, maybe with all that extra space and the fish singing their summer siren songs, it'll be time for a boat?
