Hi, I’m Danny Rodriguez-Valle
Originally from El Salvador, Bluestone’s Sr. Maintenance Tech at HELLO, Danny Rodriguez-Valle, has been living in Omaha for about 12 years.
Some people say that nurturing life connects you to a place. If that's true, then Danny and his wife have definitely put down roots. They have a rescue cat named Findy (pronounced find-ee because after finding a kitten wandering around lost, he couldn't find the owners). They also have two dogs, six parakeets, and a vegetable garden. Most exciting of all, they are expecting their first baby!
As for Netflix/Hulu binging, Danny has been watching Stranger Things and the anime series Demon Slayer, but he really prefers karaoke as a chillout activity. “I'm kind of into older rock, like Coldplay, System of a Down, Snow Patrol… back in the day it was My Chemical Romance, Green Day. . .” At this point, Danny was interrupted by someone exclaiming, “You call that older rock!? Humph!” That’s when he amended his story and called those bands modern rock, but the damage was done.
All kidding aside, Danny is big on music. In addition to rock (old and not so old), he is also into salsa, merengue, reggaeton, and classical music. In the past, he even wrote and performed music with his duo, La Realeza. This is something to remember for the next time Bluestone throws a company party—there are enough other musicians on the roster to make for an amazing jam band.
Another thing he has in common with many other Bluestoners is a love of travel. Until fairly recently, they used to travel almost every year to visit his wife’s mother in El Salvador. Now, with a new baby on the way, traveling out of the country has been put on hold. Still, he'll be plenty busy this summer with the garden and their small herd of domesticated animals.
Being a good father is a big goal for Danny, but he would also like to get into buying, fixing up, and flipping houses. “So I’ll be an investor.” It is probably safe to say that Danny's future will be full of growth. Good luck on impending parenthood!
