Raise your hand if you found out this year that you are more of an introvert than you thought you were. Raise your other hand if you found out your significant other is more of an extrovert than you thought they were. Now go high five the new Leasing Consultant at Spaces, Omaha native Laura Lehn. She knows just how you feel.

Laura likes to be outdoors. Regarding a recent rainy day, she said, “I love to just sit on my porch and listen to it rain as I cuddle with my cat and dog. But if I'm feeling adventurous, oh, I love to go out and travel, hike, all the usual stuff. Anything outside, I am very happy.” 

You might be surprised, then, to hear that when Laura goes inside, she has what she calls weird, dark, taste in entertainment. “Right now I'm reading about a classic murder, In Cold Blood. I was obsessed, still am obsessed, with murder podcasts. Any gory stuff, I love.” Then she backtracks a little. “Maybe not gory, but murder, serial killers, that sort of thing.”

One of her pandemic entertainments was watching a strange German show called Dark, which is not so much gory as it is perplexing. It's a difficult show to explain and requires a lot of focus to watch, but Laura says it’s worth the effort. “We just loved it.”  We restarted it and my boyfriend and I took notes to try to follow along better.” Another favorite show is Warrior on HBO. “I always want more action, like John Wick.”

Laura would love to end up living on a farm filled with animals, but for now she’ll settle for another canine. “We're having a debate about what our next dog will be. I want an Irish Wolfhound, but he would rather have a tiny little Cocker Spaniel. We have an 11-year-old cockapoo right now and he's like, ‘Anything bigger than that is too big.’”

Assuming that the pandemic is winding down, is there anywhere she would like to go? “Maybe get back over to Europe to see my sister (in Zurich). I used to go every year for a few weeks.” It sounds like a trip that's long overdue. Here's hoping she gets to do it soon.
